Computer Rage - Enough Already

Is it my imagination or are computer virus threats multiplying? We have 2 PCs and a laptop and they've all crashed this week due to viruses. The day I got the laptop back from the tech guy, the other two went down. I know God created Bill Gates but I don't think He created Microsoft, the McDonald's of computers. I mean I've spent ten hours this week working on computers.

More questions: What's the penalty for creating computer viruses anyway? Couldn't we make it a capital crime? Isn't the whole anti-virus industry nefarious to begin with? It seems one would need the virus makers to keep their business afloat. More viruses, more revenue, as long as you keep public outrage at a manageable level. Yes, that's - wait, I sound like a conspiracy theorist.
